Many applications require a batch or near line processing capability. Corporate Modelling’s Business Processing Grid provides a grid-based solution that allows high volume batch processing to be carried out on easy-to-configure and cheap Microsoft Windows servers. Unlike most of today’s grid technology, Corporate Modelling is not trying to create and co-ordinate a compute farm. We are delivering a processing farm. For any one batch task in a process there may be millions of cases that need to be processed. The Corporate Modelling Grid instantiates a state machine instance for every record requiring processing. This is then fragmented across the available sub section of grid resources known as gridlets and then the cases are divided up and processed in parallel. If required, Corporate Modelling’s unique grid-based solution can be used in conjunction with compute farm grids to provide both types of grid solution: processing farm and compute farm. Corporate Modelling’s Grid solution has many advanced features. They include fault tolerance, a complete batch control language, calendar-based scheduling and both real time and historic grid reporting allowing for dynamic rebalancing of grid resources as required.
