Automated Validation Checks

Of course, we’re not going to let any false or unnecessary data be ingested. That’s why we’ve added automated validation checks that can be configured to any database column, for example start and end dates. If validation checks are passed, the data row moves to the next step, where calculations, conditional logic, and field by field mappings are processed.

Automated Instigation

Once configured, the OPX Ingestor requires no further human interaction. File watchers can be imposed on any folder so that incoming files are received & ingested automatically. Similarly, periodic job schedulers (cron jobs) can be configured to query databases and collect and ingest information every specified period.

For example, actuarial companies may receive biannual files in CSV format that are not the same format across their clients. Sifting through the files and collecting the right data in the right format can be time consuming and complicated, and often fall victim to human error. With the OPX Ingestor however, complex data pipelines can be created independent to OPX which can convert these files into a standard format and make aggregates and comparisons to previous files, making life so much easier!
